I am a photographer who blogs, I guess that makes me a photo-blogger? I do not claim to be the best photographer or even the most technical of photographers. There is so much more to learn in the world of photography and I am enjoying the journey.
I would describe photography as my hobby and my creative passion, if I have an aim it is to try and capture the beauty of the world around me. Beauty as they say is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone sees the world differently. With each photo that I take I try to find a subject that captures my imagination and see the beauty in even the smallest detail. I rarely venture out with my camera with a subject in mind, I enjoy the freedom of letting the world bring inspiration to me.
My real love of photography started in my early twenties, which is also when I started to appreciate nature and the natural world around me. Getting lost with my camera for hours exploring the surrounding countryside of my home city of Aberdeen (Scotland), or taking in and capturing the beauty of sunrises and sunsets.
I have dabbled in many styles of photography over the years (nature, portraits, events, still-life) finding it difficult sometimes to settle on one genre that fits me. Even today although nature photography is my preferred style (for the moment at least) its hard to define my photographic style by just one genre.
These days I have settled in the wilds of South Yorkshire where my photographic journey continues…
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and I hope that you enjoy my photographs as much as I do. Please feel free to leave a comment on any of my posts.
Take Care, Ryan
