Chester Cathedral

ChesterCathedral03During the recent August bank holiday weekend we took a trip to Chester in Cheshire.

I have never been to Chester before, I love how they have kept a lot of the original features of the Tudor buildings that surround the city. One of the places that we spent some time at during our visit was Chester Cathedral.

As most cathedrals are the building is lovely and still have most of its stained glass windows. Although I am not religious I do like exploring churches and love the serenity of these buildings. Whether you are religious or not the architecture of most of our cathedrals are stunning, the work that must have gone in to these buildings are amazing.

These particular photos I captured in a quiet corner of the cathedral. The perfect spot for a moment of quiet reflection away from the bustling city streets of Chester.
