Of late my attentions have turned to wonders of our botanical world. On this occasion our own garden is home to this posts subject: Dahlia ‘Bishop of Leicester’.

On our recent trip back to Aberdeen to visit family and friends we took some time out to visit the Botanical Gardens at the University of Aberdeen’s Zoology campus; Cruickshank Botanic Garden. The gardens were in bloom with many different flowers and plants, their collection of Giant Thistles is what captured my attention.
