Winter in the Park

Think I may have explored every inch of our local park over the last 12 months. As it has become the source of our exercise, outdoor escape, and photographic inspiration. The park goes through many changes during the seasons, some subtle and some not so much. From the daffodils in bloom in Spring, the wildflowers … More Winter in the Park

Bleak Mid-Winter

Although I’m definitely not a fan of Winter, the recent snowfall has made for some nice photographic opportunities without having to venture out too far. While out for a Winter’s walk there was quite a dense mist coming in over the fields and intermittent flurries of snow, which created some really atmospheric snow scenes. The … More Bleak Mid-Winter

Working From Home

The ninth instalment of my #LivingInLockdown series: The world that we live in has changed in many ways due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has touched everyone’s lives in one way or another. One of these many changes was to the way that most people work. The UK Government advised employers to enable their employees … More Working From Home

Winter In Lockdown

The eighth instalment of my #LivingInLockdown series. Who could have imagined that 10 months after the first national COVID-19 lockdown that we would find ourselves in yet another national lockdown. Now we find ourselves in Winter (which inspired this post), a new year (“hello 2021”) and our 3rd national lockdown since this pandemic began 10 … More Winter In Lockdown

Snowfall

The first snow of 2021 has fallen, just to confirm that Winter is definitely here, in case we didn’t realise that already. So now here in the UK we find ourselves in a frozen COVID lockdown, I guess the snow confirms that we now have had every season during the various COVID pandemic lockdowns. As … More Snowfall

Instagram & Photography

I have had a mixed experience with social media with regards to sharing my photography. My photography & my initial website was born long before the creation of the social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) that we know today. When I first began to use Instagram (October 2010) it appeared to be a platform … More Instagram & Photography

2021: Year of Hope

No one can deny that 2020 was a challenging for everyone in one way or another due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As we enter 2021 were are still far from seeing the end of this pandemic that has gripped the world. That being said 2021 is being herald as the “Year of Hope”, after the … More 2021: Year of Hope

Bumblebee

Bees may not bee (pun very much intended) everyone’s favourite insect. However they are very important to the life-cycle of our planet, and how can you not love these little pollinators? They may not be the easiest subject to photograph (patience is definitely required to get the perfect shot) but when you get that perfect … More Bumblebee

Early Work

Feeling reminiscent so thought I would revisit and republish some of my early work, which dates back to 2005 and 2007. It is weird revisiting my earlier work as it brings back so many memories of the moments when I first took these photos. A time and place a million miles away from the person … More Early Work

Lockdown 2.0

So here in the UK (well in England at least) we find ourselves 12 days in to another country wide lockdown. All going well it should only last for a month, ending on the 2nd December 2020. Not to sound pessimistic but we were told that last time, and 3 months later it was still … More Lockdown 2.0

Pink Cosmos

Summer is definitely my favourite season and although Autumn may be well have settled in here in the UK, I’m still hanging on to memories of summer. One memory of this summer are these beautiful Cosmos flowers, taken a couple of months ago now (September) on a visit to the cities botanical gardens.
