Highland Coo’s

[Graves Park, Sheffield]
You can’t visit Grave’s Park without visiting their herd of Highland Cattle. I still love the fact that they keep highland cattle. In my opinion “real coos”, even in the wilds of Yorkshire there is a hint of my Scottish surroundings.

The heat yesterday seemed to be taking its toll on the cows, as they were mostly all laying down taking in the rays. Although we were not convinced that some of them may not have been heavily pregnant, which may be another reason why they appeared so tired in the sun.

Highland Fling 2015

[Graves Park, Sheffield]
The perfect way to spend a May Day Bank Holiday is at Sheffield’s Highland Fling at Graves Park. I was able to attend this event for the 3rd year in a row. As always it was a great day out for all the family. It always amazes me that this is a free event setup by Sheffield City Council every year.

The highland cattle are always my favourite of attractions at the Highland Fling. Every year they have some fine specimens of cattle to bring along.

Highland Cattle

For the 2nd year Sheffield held the Highland Fling fair, showing off South Yorkshire’s best Highland Cattle.
